Attitude of Gratitude

Happy Advent! Last week we talked about cultivating an attitude of gratitude no matter the circumstances we find ourselves.  Having this  attitude frees us to accomplish great things to further God’s kingdom. We were reminded from the devotional that we are royalty even when we don’t feel like it.  How we feel about ourselves will never change the truth of who we are.

Isn’t this such an awesome message to hear?

One thing we are very thankful for is the generosity of our sponsors who have provided meals for every meeting and prayed for us. This past week we had a cake for Jesus, celebrating His birthday with a cake was a way to acknowledge His real presence with us and the gift that He is to us. HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCE JESUS! We are overjoyed that you stooped down to lift the human race to you!

Come Lord Jesus, come!  Make haste!

This week’s devotional

“You didn’t choose me. I  chose you. I appointed you to go and produce lasting fruit so that the Father will give you whatever you ask for, using my name”

—John 15:16

Barbie bondage

Another beautiful evening with the ladies. Reflecting on the chapter 3 of the devotional, we talked about how our image of beauty is influenced heavily by the media. We get a lot of conflicting messages about what true beauty is and most often than not, the image portrayed is one that is not achievable. But God has created each and everyone of us wonderfully. Breaking out of that barbie bondage means carving out time each day to hear God speak to our hearts and tell us the truth of who we really are.
